PRESS RELEASE

Mr. Leigh Blackmon and Chelsea Holland were apprehended last night after Marion County Deputies recognized Blackmon operating a motorcycle on Fallen Ash Road.  Deputies attempted to stop Operator Blackmon. Then Blackmon accelerated and fled with deputies in pursuit. The two were finally apprehended in Baxter County on State Highway #126 at Lithia Creek Bridge.

In addition to the charges Blackmon already faced, he will have several added charges in both Baxter and Marion Counties. Affidavits in both counties will be forth coming.

Marion County authorities would like to thank Marion and Baxter County Dispatchers, City Police Officers from Flippin, Gassville, Lakeview, Mountain Home, and Cotter, Baxter County Deputies, Arkansas State Police Highway Patrol Troopers, Arkansas Department of Corrections K-9 Unit (North Central Unit), Arkansas Game and Fish Wardens, and Marion County Deputies. The apprehension could not have taken place without the help of these agencies!
