Explosive Device Located in Northern Marion County

Marion County deputies responded to some property in northern Marion County on the afternoon of 11/13/23 to follow-up on a device found in a field adjacent to Lazy Acres Road. The responding deputy identified the device as a possible explosive device and requested additional assistance handling the device. Sheriff's Department personnel contacted the Bentonville Police Department Bomb Squad for assistance. Three (3) Bomb Technicians responded to the scene and conducted render safe procedures on the device. No further action was taken.
