In a follow-up to a death investigation opened on 11/18/23 in the Oakland community of Marion County, Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander advised he has received information related to the cause and manner of death, as well as the positive identification of the victim. Sheriff Alexander advised he received a report dated 12/19/23, confirming the victim's identification as that of JASON TODD NALE, a white/male with a date of birth of 05/20/72. NALE was identified through DNA analysis. Sheriff Alexander also reported the autopsy determined the cause of death was some type of coronary related episode and the manner of death was determined to be natural causes.

NALE'S body was found on his property in the Oakland community after neighbors reported an out-of-control fire on some property adjacent to State Highway (SH) 202.
