MAIL THEFT UPDATE

Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander advises Marion County deputies began contacting citizens and returning stolen mail that was stolen from area mailboxes and subsequently recovered from a suspect's vehicle. The investigation is on-going, and a suspect is in custody in Baxter County pending the filling of formal charges in Marion County. Sheriff Alexander reports approximately one hundred eight (108) pieces of mail from thirty-one (31) victims have been recovered, and deputies began the process of returning the mail to the victims this morning. Sheriff Alexander is asking citizens to contact Sheriff's Office Investigators, between 8A-4:30P Monday through Friday if they live on any of the streets, roads or highways listed below if they believe they may have had mail stolen:
